Our Mission
Santa Rosa City Schools are facing a $20+ million budget deficit. The Board of Education has formed a School Closing and Consolidation Advisory Committee which will come up with a recommendation to close and consolidate schools. Original proposal from the Board of Education is to close 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school.
At Better Santa Rosa, we strive to let your voice be heard throughout the school closure process to minimize the impact on the students, parents, neighborhoods and businesses in Santa Rosa.
Our goals are:
(1) Make sure the Advisory Committee and the Board of Education listen to your voices and be fair in the school closure evaluation process.
(2) Encourage the Board of Education to be open and creative, and help them find solutions to keep all five high schools open.
